In 2017-2018 the Sequoia Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 58th season with some of the great characters whose stories have been immortalized in some of the most electrifying orchestral works. Whether from Shakespeare’s plays, folklore, opera, Roman gods, or Mayan history, our selections highlight the outstanding musical settings and retellings of these well-known characters and their stories.
